What is your door policy? Can anyone enter AXM?
AXM Manchester operates a 'regulars/members' priority policy and a 'majority' Gay policy on our door. This is one of the benefits of becoming a member of AXM. As we state on our home page, we don't give a monkeys what sexuality, orientation, race, creed, colour you are, as long as you are aware that AXM is a Gay venue for Gay people and their friends and are willing to respect that and each other. Right of Admission is reserved by AXM and the management team.
Will I be turned away when arriving with a large group?
Potentially yes, as once inside the venue, a large group may appear intimidating to other guests. However, to ensure you do have a successful and enjoyable visit to AXM Manchester, please contact us in advance and let us know your group size so that our door team and staff are aware. Click here for the Large Group Notification form.
What other barriers may I face when trying to gain entry?
AXM Manchester promotes responsible drinking at all times. As such, you may be refused entry on grounds that you are deemed to be overly intoxicated. Being a late night venue, we also operate the 'Challenge 25' scheme. Therefore our door team will always ask for you to prove your age. Acceptable forms of I.D. are:
* UK/EU Passport (that is in date - out of date passports will not be acceptable)
* Photographic Driving Licence (Full or provisional)
You can also present your new AXM Membership Card as your identification as you would have been verified before being accepted on the scheme. An image of you along with a biometric scan of your thumb print will be taken so when you visit us, your details appear on our secure computer system when using your membership card.
We are sorry that any other forms of identification such as Citizens Card, Proof of Age Card, Military Warrant Card or other will not be accepted due to the number of forgeries currently in circulation. Being a member of the S.I.A does not grant you access either!
Please note: Any identification deemed to not be your property will be confiscated until the true owner collects it. They will need to bring other forms of proof with them. |

Do you operate a Membership Scheme?
Yes we do. It's a one-off charge of £10 which entitles you to discounted entry to AXM on selected nights and a whole lot more! See our membership section above for info. Only members and recognised regulars will be permitted entry after 4am.
Do you give out 'Pass Out' wristbands?
No we don't. We stamp you upon entry with an 'axm' stamp. Should it get busy, we may ask you to wait a few minutes before re-entering the venue should you leave to smoke or meet a friend. We don't believe in charging you twice!
Do you have an ATM machine or accept credit/debit cards?
Yes we have an ATM machine inside located in the main club on the ground floor. Unfortunately we do not have access to this should it run out of cash and we currently do not have the facility to pay by credit card at the bar. We are looking into this service.
Do you have a cloakroom / what happens if I lose my keyring?
Yes we do have a cloakroom which is charged at £1 per item. Each item is given a keyring with a number on it. Do not lose this! If you misplace your keyring, you will need to wait until the end of the night when we close to reclaim your property. There are NO exceptions to this policy. All belongings will remain at the venue for one week before being destroyed.
What if I lose my belongings in the club?
When you report your personal belongings missing whilst in AXM we will check lost property to see if any items have been handed in or picked up by our staff for security reasons. We strongly suggest that any valuable items are placed in our cloakroom safe and sound. AXM is not responsible for lost items.
What is the dress code at AXM Manchester?
We do not allow hen parties or stag doos to come in the venue under any circumstances. Football tops are not permitted. Offensive clothing is also not permitted. Dress to impress people ... you are on a night out! |
